1. Summary

This is a marketing site for a Max for Live device sold via Gumroad. We use PostHog for product analytics — including session replay and A/B testing — to understand how the site is used and improve it. PostHog stores a random identifier in cookies and local storage on your device. When you buy or subscribe to updates, the data is held by Gumroad.

2. Who we are

“Fadercraft” is the trading name of an independent sole trader based in Thailand. Contact: [email protected].

3. What we do and don’t do on this site

  • We use PostHog — a product-analytics service — to measure page views, clicks, and conversions, to run A/B experiments, and to record session replays (mouse movement, scrolling, and clicks; text you type into forms is masked by default).
  • Analytics requests are routed through our own domain (fadercraft.com/ingest) to PostHog’s servers in the United States.
  • PostHog sets first-party cookies and local-storage entries with a randomly generated identifier to recognise returning visitors. We do not link it to your name or email.
  • Analytics runs only on the live fadercraft.com domain — not on previews or local copies.
  • No Google Analytics, and no tracking or retargeting pixels from advertising networks (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.).

Your browser may still send standard request data (IP address, user agent) to Cloudflare for routing and security. Cloudflare keeps short-term operational logs; we do not access them for marketing.

4. Subprocessors

A small number of third parties handle data on our behalf. Each one has its own privacy policy.

5. What happens when you buy

When you buy a Fadercraft product, the transaction is processed by Gumroad as merchant of record. Gumroad collects and stores the data needed to process your payment: name, email, billing details, payment method, and tax information. Gumroad is the data controller for that information.

We see order metadata: product name, country code for tax reporting, and the email address you used at checkout, so we can deliver your product and respond to support requests.

6. Newsletter

If you subscribe through the form on this site, your email is sent to Gumroad’s follower list using their embed endpoint. Gumroad sends a confirmation email; you become a follower only after confirming. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link.

7. Your rights

Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / UK GDPR) you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Have inaccurate data rectified.
  • Have your data deleted (the “right to be forgotten”).
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Object to processing, or restrict it.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. Purchase data and newsletter records are held by Gumroad as data controller; for those we will guide you to Gumroad’s buyer or follower support.

8. Data retention

We keep order metadata for as long as we need it to support you and meet accounting obligations (typically up to seven years). Newsletter subscriptions are kept by Gumroad until you unsubscribe.

9. International transfers

Our subprocessors are mostly based in the United States. They use standard contractual clauses or other recognised legal mechanisms when receiving personal data from the EU or UK.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always at this URL with a “Last updated” date at the top.

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-10

1. Who we are

“Fadercraft” is the trading name of an independent sole trader based in Thailand. In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to that sole trader. “You” means the person who buys or uses our software. Contact: [email protected].

2. Merchant of record

All purchases on this site are processed by Gumroad, Inc. (“Gumroad”), which acts as the merchant of record for every transaction. Gumroad handles payment processing, billing, sales tax and VAT, invoicing, refunds, and chargebacks. When you buy a Fadercraft product you also agree to Gumroad’s buyer terms, available at gumroad.com/terms.

3. Licence

When you buy a Fadercraft product we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use that product, in the version sold, on devices you own or control. The licence is for a single individual user. If you bought the product on behalf of your employer or client, that organisation shares the same licence with you for the same single-user scope.

Your licence key allows up to three activations — install the product on up to three machines you personally use (for example, a studio computer, a live laptop, and a backup). If you need more, email support. You may make backup copies. You may not share, resell, sub-licence, redistribute, or publish the product or any part of it.

4. Intellectual property

All Fadercraft products — including Max for Live devices, JavaScript files, Ableton Live Sets, custom modes, documentation, audio content, and visual assets — are the intellectual property of Fadercraft or its licensors. The licence in section 3 does not transfer ownership; it grants the right to use the product as described.

Music and other creative work you make using a Fadercraft product belongs entirely to you. We claim no rights over your output.

5. Permitted use

You may use Fadercraft products for any lawful purpose, including commercial production and live performance. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source of compiled components, except to the extent that local law expressly permits.

6. Updates

We may publish updates to a product. Updates within the same major version are included in your licence at no extra cost. A future major version may be sold as a separate upgrade.

7. Warranty disclaimer

Our products are provided “as is”. We test them carefully, but we cannot guarantee they will be free of bugs or compatible with every version of every host application or operating system. Where local law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under local law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to a Fadercraft product is limited to the amount you actually paid for that product in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, where local law forbids such exclusion.

9. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy below and processed by Gumroad. Please read both documents together.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always at this URL with a “Last updated” date at the top.

11. Termination

The licence ends automatically if you breach these terms in a material way, for example by redistributing the product. On termination, you must stop using the product and delete your copies.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the courts of England and Wales. This choice does not deprive you of any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: [email protected].

Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-10

14-day refund window

You can request a full refund within fourteen days of your purchase, for any reason. This applies to every Fadercraft product.

How to request a refund

  • Email [email protected] with your order email or licence key. We start the refund with Gumroad on your behalf.
  • Or open Gumroad’s customer support at gumroad.com/help and request the refund yourself. You will need the email used at checkout.

Both routes end in the same place. Gumroad is the merchant of record, so all refunds are processed by Gumroad and returned to your original payment method. Bank settlement usually takes three to ten business days depending on your card issuer.

What is not eligible

  • Requests made more than fourteen days after purchase.
  • Gross misuse of the licence, for example redistributing the product.
  • Open chargebacks, until the chargeback is resolved.
  • Demonstrably fraudulent claims.

Outside these cases, we err on the side of refunding. If something is wrong with the product, and you tell us within the window, you get your money back.

Bug reports are welcome either way

If a refund is triggered by a bug or compatibility issue, please tell us what went wrong, even if you don’t want to wait for a fix. It helps us make the next version better.
